About SVG
SVG describes a picture with shapes, lines and text instead of pixels. That's why it stays crisp at any zoom, and why so many logos and icons on the web are SVG files.
An SVG is plain text written in XML, so a text editor shows code instead of the picture. Filepeek draws it the way a browser would and keeps it sharp while you zoom.
SVG files can carry scripts. When Filepeek shows one as an image, those scripts don't run.

Questions
Why does my SVG open as code?
SVG is text, so editors and some apps show the XML inside. Open it here to see the picture.
Do scripts in the SVG run?
No. Filepeek shows SVG files as images, and browsers never run scripts inside an image.
Is my file uploaded?
No. It opens inside your browser and is never sent to a server.
Can I save it as PNG?
Yes. Choose Export, then Save as PNG. You get a PNG at the size the SVG is drawn at.
