About ARW
Sony introduced ARW with its first Alpha camera, the A100, in 2006. Every Alpha since saves it, from the A7, A9 and A1 full frame bodies to the A6000 series, and so do RX compacts like the RX100.
An ARW is built on TIFF and keeps 12 or 14 bits per pixel, either uncompressed, losslessly compressed on newer bodies, or compressed with a small loss. Before ARW, Cyber-shot cameras like the DSC-F828 and DSC-R1 saved .srf and .sr2 raws.
No browser shows ARW by itself. Filepeek develops it with LibRaw, the open source raw decoder, using the camera's white balance. Show EXIF lists the camera, the lens and the settings, and Export saves a JPEG or PNG.

Questions
How do I convert ARW to JPEG?
Open it here, choose Export, then Save as JPEG. The raw is developed and saved on your device, so you get a JPEG without uploading anything.
Why does it look flatter than on my camera?
Your camera applies its Creative Look or Creative Style, with extra contrast, color and sharpening, to the photos it shows and saves as JPEG. Filepeek develops the raw data neutrally, with the camera's white balance, so the photo can look flatter here.
What are SRF and SR2 files?
Sony's raw formats before ARW, from Cyber-shot cameras like the DSC-F828 and DSC-R1. Filepeek opens them too.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The ARW is developed inside your browser and never leaves your device.
